Seeking Father of the Year Nominations

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Father of the Year Awards dinner a great success! Hooray for Dad!

Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s Father of the Year Awards dinner on June 19th at the New Orleans Hilton Riverside.  The American Diabetes Association and the Father’s Day Council honored four local fathers, Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich, Glen Golemi, Jim Remetich and Kenny Rabalais.  It was an emotional and memborable evening for the four fathers as each viewed a personalized family video and were presented with the Father of the Year Tribute Trophy.  Nominees are being accepted for next year’s awards if you know someone deserving of the honor please email omoriarty@diabetes.org

Our Father of the Year Awards dinner is just around the corner. We are looking forward to recognizing four terrific fathers who despite their busy work schedules always have time for their families. Father of the Year Tickets Going Fast!

Father of the Year Awards will be held on Friday, June 19 at the Hilton Riverside. We are currently selling individual tickets and tables for companies who are interested in sponsoring this event. We are highlighting four dads – Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich, Glen Golemi, Kenny Rabalais and Jim Remetich – who will receive their honors their night. A silent auction and wonderful program highlighting the work these men do in the community, as well as the work the American Diabetes Association does will make for a memorable evening. Father of the Year Hosts Honoree Reception

On Tuesday, March 3 an honoree reception officially naming the 2015 Father of the Year honorees was held at Harrah’s in New Orleans. The Father’s Day Council members and alumni fathers have been working very hard over the past few months to identify and recruit honoree fathers of this year’s event. We couldn’t be happier with the honorees for this year:
